Easter Bag

The big Easter Egg Drop is coming tomorrow! So, I decided to make this Easter Bag for my youngest brother, David.

The first thing is to trace around a piece of paper that is a rectangle onto a piece of cloth. You can choose any color cloth you want.

Next, you cut out the rectangular cloth.

Fold the short sides of the rectangle over just a little bit. Then, pin them like this:

If you are a kid like me, get your mom and dad to sew those edges down with the sewing machine, or you can hand sew it.

Then, you make an egg with whatever color felt cloth you want.  You can decorate it with polka dots, zig zags, stripes...whatever you want.  I did green zig zags with a marker.

Cut the egg out, and sew it to the bag.  Make sure you do not sew the bag together.

Once it is sewn on, you can cut out some strips of the same color felt as the egg.  The smaller the bag, the smaller the handles.  You can make them as long as you want.

Pin the handles onto the bag. Do not do it right on the edge because you are going to sew the edge.  Then you sew them on.

Now, fold the bag inside out, and sew the edges together.

Last, flip it right side out, and it is finished! Now, you can go hunt for Easter Eggs.  I hope my little brother likes his Easter Bag!
