Cutie-Patootie Bears

At first I wanted to call these "Duffy Bears," but then they were so cute I had to give them a name with Cutie in it. I decided to call them Cutie-Patootie Bears. Here is how you can make your own.

What you need is scissors, cloth, 2 small oval pieces of felt for eyes, a small felt heart of any color, a needle & thread, and a sharpie pen. Some other things I didn't put in the picture is a hot glue gun. and a pencil.

First, cut out a little piece of your cloth if it's too large. About 12 inches by 12 inches. Then fold it in half.

No you can draw with chalk or a pencil like I used to draw the shape of your Cutie-Patootie Bear. You should draw on the back side of the cloth.

Now, cut it out. Make sure you cut out both sides of the shape.

Next, pin the two pieces together with the inside facing out so the pieces don't flop apart while you are sewing.

Then thread your needle and start sewing around the edges. Make sure you are not sewing it right side out.

Leave a little space so you can flip it right side out and stuff it.

Once you flipped it right side out you can start stuffing your Cutie-Patootie Bear. I uses cotton balls because we ran out of stuffing. You can use cotton balls or stuffing.

Fold the two pieces of the opening in so it won't look weird when you sew it up and it will not fray.

Take the little heart shape felt and write the name of your Cutie-Patootie Bear on it. You can name it whatever you want. If you can't think of a name you can copy mine - "Moka"

The step is the face. You can draw the mouth, put freckles, add makeup, rosy cheeks, glasses and glue on the eyes.  You can even add a tie or bow-tie... BE CREATIVE!

Now, you can show all your friends your very own Cutie-Patootie Bear.
One favor: Can you also tell your friends about my blog?
